Scene One'

The proscenium - an old-looking movie studio doors with the mark STUDIO 36 above them - lights fade out. The doors (curtains) open. We meet NORMA JEANE MORTENSON, a young brunette in a pink dress. She struggles to stand up. She expresses determination, although a little bit of fear. She walks in, singing.
