First of all I just want to say I loved SMASH. It's my favourite tv show ever. I'm not trying to rip it off as I started my Marilyn Musical entitled 'Blonde' about a year before it started. Anyway! I wanted to know what you guys want in a Marilyn Musical. What songs, scenes would you like to see? Also what people and moments in her life would you want?
My email is: JoshA.email@example.com

Hi everyone! It just wanted to let you guys know that I have actually just purchased a copy of Marilyn: An American Fable, the 1983 flop Broadway musical! If you have any questions about the show just ask me.
The script leaves out a lot of her life. For example: Some Like It Hot &The Misfits are not even mention. Also, there isn't even a death sequence.Read more >
has anyone bought the dvd set of season two i was wondering if they show any deleted musical number and also to they show extended ones. also did they show a full version of at your feet thanksRead more >
It seems silly to eulogise Smash. The show seemed to make self-loathing an art form. One that it wasn't particularly good at, but occasionally struck magical gold. I've discussed many times about how there wasn't just potential in the series, but in each scene. There was always something brilliant waiting to break out from all the wilted melodrama and whingeing entitlement, but it never got there. And during the second season, it never even got to the glorious camp-ridden heights of the first. I'm sad to see the idea of Smash gone rather than Smash itself because, with its failure brings the sad knowledge that television networks won't even try something like it again any time soon unless its aimed at the youth set like Glee (a show that has ha…Read more >

I was rewatching smash season two and i had a really fun idea for a poll kind of thing for this website:
Since Ivy is pregnant, If you were the creative team, Who (from the real world) would you choose to fill Ivy's shoes as marilyn in bombshell and why?
And you cant pick karen/katherine as she is in Hit List. But other than that you can choose anyone else.Read more >
Hello everyone frome the amazing smash community.
I've read many Bombshell scripts here and the truth is most of them are only small dialogues between the songs. I wanted to know if somebody wrote a REAL script with new scenes that we did not see on SMASH.. I want to read a script from someone who did enough research on Marilyn and her life to deliver something worth reading. I am writing one with someone else right and would be glad to exchange ideas with everyone.
If you think you script is really good or want to exchange with me, write me a message : Bryangobeil@hotmail.comRead more >
I don't know about you, but I still can't belive that Smash is gone... I know that maybe you'll feel that I am saying that Smash is really over because of the title but I just didn't know what to write for it.
And I want to ask why? Why did they toke us the only broadway show? They could easly cancel some of the doctor shows or maybe police stuff, I know that some of people would not like it, but there is many shows about crime and doctors but there WAS only one about broadway and musical. And I will watch season 1 again and season 2 again and again for thausent times because it's so amazing :( :'(
Maybe we could bring it back like viewers-fans brought back Arrested Development. Maybe "even crazy dreams come true." Smash is never g…Read more >

Ladies and gentlemen, I'm said to report, but Smash has been officially cancelled by NBC. We now have only three more episodes left for our favorite show. More news is to come at a later date. Maybe they will change their mind?Read more >
This show is nothing compared to what it once was. They keep adding stories that add nothing to the show and nobody could possibly care about. All the characters have the same temperament: short fuse, won't listen to reason and immediately fly off the handle causing DRAMA? It's tiring watching a bunch of imbeciles go through the paces so hopefully we get to see a great tune... which is happening less and less often.
SMASH was INCREDIBLE last year, but it's no wonder that the chance of a season 3 is about 0.01%...
I REALLY during about the first 10 episodes of season 2. But I think that SMASH reached bottom a few weeks ago and now it's just filling in its own grave... Since Jimmy and Kyle were introduced the show has plummeted to the point of…Read more >

Does anyone know what theater smash is filming at? Not the exterior shots because that is the lyceum theater, but the actually stage and auditorium they are using? I honestly cannot find it anywhere. I know it has an orchestra section, and one balcony level and a middle aisle but i cant find it anywhereRead more >

I made a petition to NBC to try to get them to save the show that we all are obsessed with, SMASH. My goal is, of course, to get enough signatures to get NBC to consider giving the show at least a third season, if not more. I think if all the loyal followers of SMASH band together, we can make a huge impact. So, if you want SMASH to continue, then click the link to the page and add your signature. Not only do this yourselves, but spread the word to as many people as you can. E-mail, Facebook, it doesn't matter. As long as we get the word out. So, let's go SMASH Nation!!!!!!!
Help save SMASH!!!
P.S. Comment when you've signed!Read more >
Does anyone want to form a group and be the creative team for bombshell? As in, write the script but work as a team and put all our ideas together and each write scenes and then we can all give our notes and fix and adjust things? If anyone is interested let me know! Ive read every script posted on here for bombshell and alot of them are so good and i feel like if we all teamed up we could porbably write a majority of the show and share all our ideas. Comment if youre interested!Read more >
We need to start a pettition or link to some facebook pages to show NBC we care about SMASH and to save it. This season is very different from season 1 and I love it, more entertaining and more Broadway esque!.
We need a season 3 cause "The Tonys" as the season (series) finale is good but shouldn't be the last there is still a story they should show. Like how success can change a alter people's personalities and how those effects can contribute negative and positive effects.
Let's all watch SMASH on Saturdays starting April 6 to show NBC that WE CARE about SMASH. Too many Lame drama reality shows we need to chnage it.
Let's do it!!Read more >
I everybody! I've written my own little script for Bombshell and was wondering if anyone could read part of it. I have my first three scenes in the link below. Comment what you think and any questions you have. Thanks!

Smash is finally coming back to us tomorrow night, so it's time to put our thinking caps on and see what's going to happen next!
So what happened where did Smash leave off last season? Ellis went crazy and admitted that he had put the peanuts in Rebecca's smoothie, which leads to Eileen kicking him out of the theatre (and an ominous promise that he'll be back)! Derek chose Karen, but everyone is trying to get him to choose Ivy!
While it looks like Ivy might end up getting the role, Karen decides to returns to the stage and sings the new song, Don't Forget Me, an inspirational piece pleading for the audience to remember her story when they know someone who needs help, while images of Marilyn flash in the background. The crowd cheers as Karen hits…Read more >

As new show runner Josh Safran steps into his role, he brings in three new regular characters and actors along with him.
Krysta, who played Wednesday Addams in the Broadway musical The Addams Family, is joining the NBC drama as Ana, Karen’s fun and spunky new roommate who is looking for her big break on the Great White Way.

As we know, the show's getting a new showrunner next year, and changes are bound to occur. After a lukewarm reaction to its first season, Smash needs to make a splash in 2013. So, if it were up to me, here is the direction I'd like to see the show take...
Season 2 would pick up two or three years after Season 1 ended. All cliffhangers and story threads from the first season are explained, of course, but we never see their immediate effect. Instead, we're re-introduced to the enitre Smash family a couple years down the line. Everything's refreshed.
After a successful out-of-town tryout in Boston, Bombshell headed straight to Broadway with Karen as its star. She becomes the new "it" girl of Broadway, gaining glorious fame and acknowledgment (perhaps ev…Read more >
WOAH! I'M SURPRISED 'cuz this wiki is not that active like the glee.wiki... SMASH is really good and I love the actors and the storylines. I hope it will get more viewers like glee :D

I made this blog so I can ask all the wikia users here what pages you think we are missing. I know we are missing a couple of characters on here but I want to ask you all are we missing anything else?
So please reply/comment with pages you think this wiki is missing. It can be characters, songs, writers, directors, actors, people like Marilyn. As long as they are based around the Smash Universe and play apart I will make the pages.

First things first ..
I'm an austrian 15 year old girl, who's a big Smasher and Gleek. Like almost every teenager I have the dream 'bout going to new york. Well, my dream is bigger than just going there. I want to *crossing my fingers* become an actress! I knwo, I know, my chances are very very small, but I believe in my and my dreams!
So now you guys now stuff about me you probably don't wanted to know, but yeah.. now you DO know (:
Now you probably think why did she write that and what does she want?
I wanted to know if anyone of you'd like to become e-mail friends (??) with me?!
I really want to improve my english and talk about the things I love, which is obviously Glee, Smash and America (:
So, if someone of you's intersted in my request and…Read more >
Fans of Smash will be happy to know they have a second season to look forward to.
The ratings haven't been absolutely stellar, but they're clearly good enough to get the show a second season. So far it's averaged 7.7 million viewers and has a 2.6 adult demo rating. In addition, Grimm has also been renewed for a second series.

Would you go see Marilyn if it was a musical in real life? :)Read more >
Hello, fellow Smashers. As most of you know, there's already a great debate beginning between whether Ivy or Karen is the better choice for Marilyn; or hell, just the overall singer. So, what do you think?
Personally, I'm Team Karen. Yes, Ivy is certainly more talented, but Karen has a vast amount of poetential, and I have a childish, stereotypical faith in her.
So, what about you?Read more >
I know everyone is asking this question, but I just wanted to know what you thought. I personally don't think anything can outdo Glee, but so far Smash has been very entertaining after just one episode. I believe Smash has the ability to dominate the ratings (good thing Smash and Glee are on different nights!) but people immediately asssume they are alike, when really they are totally different, the musical aspect is pretty much their only common trait. I'm looking forward to seeing what will happen next on Smash, it was much better than I thought it would be. What do you guys think?Read more >
There have been many comparisons to the two shows. Both having the similarity of being a musical tv show.
Glee is about the underdog, using stereotypes as the basis of the character and than delving further in, completely breaking it. How hard people who know they are different, have big dreams are excluded and bullied for dreaming big and wanting to be different. SMASH is about what happens when that person makes it to Broadway and discovers that their are hundreds just like them, all trying to make it into the business.
SMASH has already stated that without Glee, they wouldn't be on television. THis is truth. FOX producers believed that Glee would fail and would only get 13 episodes. Ryan proved them wrong by writing, with Ian and Brad, ep…Read more >
Stepping out of the shadows of its fellow musical television series Glee, Smash is gearing up to the next big hit.
More adult and mature than other current musical offerings, Smash is produced by Steven Spielberg and ventures into the makings of Broadways stars.
Are you excited for its series premiere next week? Watch a sneak preview below!Read more >
Will Smash be the next Glee? Wherever you look, there are musical tv shows popping up, no doubt inspired by the phenomenal success of Glee. Smash takes the more mature route with musical-loving adults who are inspired to put on their own Broadway musical, based on the life of Marilyn Monroe.
With personal elements, plenty of musicality and famous talents like Debra Messing and American Idol alum Katharine McPhee, Smash promises big numbers. But will it be a big hit?
Will you be watching the mid-season favorite Smash? Tell us in the comments!Read more >
